Jars of Glory

By Dave Eden, Eden Political Cartoons

“In the church that I grew up in, I heard a lot of testimonies from people who were redeemed from alcohol and drugs. Because I was saved early in life, I didn’t have a testimony like that. The closest thing that I could say similar to their testimony was, ‘I, too, was saved from a life of addictions. I was hooked on phonics.’ You see, from the world’s point of view, I was a good child. From the Gospel’s point of view, I was still a sinner and in need of a great Savior. So I turned to Christ, realizing my salvation was by His merits alone. I could never be good enough to get to heaven.”
