“When we pray this petition, we are praying for the conversion of sinners to a soul-saving faith in Jesus Christ. We are praying for the putting down of Satan and everything that works evil. We are praying for the complete and total triumph of Christ. We are praying for the abandonment of and the abolition of every idol. We are praying for the ultimate fulfillment of God’s covenant promises. We want the world to shout with one voice, Alleluia, for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth (Rev. 19:6). This is the hope we cherish. It is a vision our Lord wanted us to catch whenever we pray in this manner.”
