Black Souls Matter

By Dave Eden, Eden Political Toons

“Some folks don’t realize the commandments of God aren’t multiple-choice.  Jesus said, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (Mt. 5:37-39).” You can’t escape it. I can’t escape it. To love God fully is to love my neighbor as God loves me. To love God as I ought is to love my neighbor, red, yellow, black or white, just as I love myself, just as I love my own race. That’s the standard to which I must ever aspire.”

-Rev. Mark Creech
