“Leadership has a profound impact on society’s well-being. Character is destiny. The people we choose for office in this country are a clear reflection of the nation’s character. I strive to be optimistic about most matters, even politics, but lately, I’ve seen lawmakers in the General Assembly that I thought were virtuously solid compromise their Christian values for political expedience. Just because we have separation of church and state doesn’t mean we’ll be exempt from the measure of God’s commands. To break his commands is to be broken by them. Bad choices result in bad outcomes. We reap what we sow.”
