A couple of weeks ago, I shared with you that we were rebuilding our email list to make us more effective. That process is still ongoing and we need your help.

I don’t need to belabor with you all the many ways we’ve been strategic as a light for Christ in the North Carolina General Assembly. We’ve been in the middle of every major fight in our state for marriage and the family, the life of the unborn, religious liberty, and protecting the public from the dilatory outcomes of alcohol and drug abuse.

You’ve heard much in recent weeks about HB 2, the “bathroom bill.” I’ve been at the forefront of that battle since its beginning. In fact, the Christian Action League unashamedly helped get that common sense measure passed during a special session of lawmakers back in March.
Since its passage, HB 2 has come under tremendous fire from the radical left, and now we need to do everything possible to keep it alive. Otherwise, women and children will be forced to share bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers with men.
That a law like HB 2 would even be necessary is crazy, but it goes to show just how far a culture will go when it abandons God. This is why lawmakers always need a faithful Christian witness when they are considering bills, but we can’t do it alone. That’s where you and your own Christian witness come into the picture.

Our GRASSROOTS ADVOCACY LIST will match you up with your legislators so that whenever we contact you about any urgent social issue, especially something like HB 2, you can respond by contacting them and appealing to them via your Christian witness.
We will continue to lobby and work to get lawmakers to do the right thing in Raleigh, but they need to hear from their constituents back home. Our GRASS ROOTS ADVOCACY LIST makes this possible.
