“Please don’t try to convince me that Christians need to stay out of politics. That is one of the most ridiculous assertions I have ever heard. Yet it is so widely accepted among clergy and lay leaders alike. Listen, there is corrupt politics in the Church, corrupt politics in the State, and the account of Christ’s passion is proof of the worst kind of dirty politics in both. And, unless godly, righteous people, who walk closely with the Lord fill that vacuum, it most certainly will be filled by those of the opposite character.”
