Remember when North Carolina passed their bathroom bill a couple of years ago? On March 23, 2016, Republican Governor Pat McCrory signed HB 2, the Public Facilities Privacy & Security Act, into law. HB 2 stated that individuals using any of the restrooms, changing facilities, in any government buildings, including public schools, must use the facility that corresponds to the gender identified on their birth certificates.
